Job Description for Production Head
Company : Forgings Pvt. Ltd. Ludhiana (Punjab)
Area of Work : Forge Shop (Press Forging Section)
Minimum Experience : 12 years
Qualification : Diploma / BE Mechanical
Desirables : Good command over English Language
Knowledge of Hot Forging defects & their remedies
Knowledge of Quality Tools like Root Cause analysis, PFMEA, CAPA, Change Management, PPAP etc.
To ensure incoming cut / shear billet quality as per set standards
To ensure incoming die quality
To ensure forging process (Process and Product parameters) w.r.t. SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
To perform random audits on line, right from raw material cutting / Shearing stage to forging production stage.
To implement SMED during setting of Tool / die or Machine.
Responsible for establishment of new development jobs as per the customer drg. & specific requirements.
Responsible for Trouble free running of Machines by ensuring Preventive maintenance / routine maintenance of Machines.
To conduct daily/ weekly Quality review meeting & deciding action plans after analyzing root causes, to reduce rejection / rework percentage.
Responsible for reverse engg. ( wherever possible ) to improve quality & to increase productivity as process of continuous improvements.
Daily follow up / meeting with next customer i.e, Heat treatment & Final processing so as to minimize their problems.
Responsible to visit at end customer to understand Forging Process related problems (customer complaints) & accordingly taking actions in dies / toolings, & in forging process / process controls after analyzing the root cause.
To provide training to the associates.
To update the skill level of the associates.
